Who are we?

Our Mission

Food on Wheels is a transformative initiative designed to address food insecurity by providing fresh produce to underserved neighborhoods in the United States. Rooted in the belief that small changes can lead to significant improvements in structural inequalities, our goal is to improve food access, dietary behaviors, and overall community well-being.

Guided by a vision of empowerment and community engagement, we retrofit firefighter trucks with state-of-the-art cooling systems and storage units, turning them into mobile vending units that bring fresh fruits and vegetables to neighborhoods that need it most. In addition, we create local jobs by hiring residents to drive and operate these trucks, further boosting economic growth in the community.

Our partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and mobile carriers ensure a broad outreach and a large-scale impact. Through community involvement, strategic collaborations, and the power of social capital, we aim to build healthier, more cohesive communities while driving long-term, sustainable change.
